HEALING THOSE WHO PROTECT US

At Operator Relief Fund (ORF), we have made it our mission to bring best-in-class wellness treatment and services to shadow warriors struggling with operator syndrome (PTS). The scars endured from service have impact on mind, body and spirit of the operators and their families. Shadow Warrior fatalities have more than doubled from 2022-2023, mainly attributed to cancer and suicide. It is our passion and duty to help them begin a journey to health and wellness.

OUR APPROACH

ORF provides funding for Advanced Stellate Ganglion Block (ASGB) treatment for shadow warriors to enable a journey to health and wellness. The procedure calms the constant fight or flight state so the operator can then begin to address other issues and focus on living a healthy lifestyle.

OUR IMPACT

0

To date, ORF has funded 575 Shadow Warrior Health & Recovery Journeys.

ORF's recent study with America's Warrior Partnership included 155 participants over 18 months and demonstrated a 6.5 month effective reset period for our ASGB participants.

WHO WE SERVE

Shadow warriors are defined as members and veterans of special operations and intelligence communities, with a focus on operational and direct support personnel who have deployed in service to their special operation units and intelligence agencies.

WHAT IS ASGB

Advanced Stellate Ganglion Block (ASGB) is an injection of medication into a collection of nerves at the bottom front side of the neck. When administered into both sides of the neck, it has proven, lasting impact. It resets the sympathetic nervous system fight or flight response to its baseline.

ORF has partnered with America's Warrior Partnership to formalize a pre and post-treatment capture of patient data over 3 years to understand the impact and efficacy of this treatment. A goal would be adoption of the administration of ASGB by the VA and active duty medical personnel, as well as, civilian insurance providers.
